Mercedes Navarro Puerto is from Spain, she holds a PhD in Psychology and Theology and a degree in Biblical Sciences. Old Testament Professor at the Universidad pontificia Salamanca, and of Psychology and Religion at the Faculty of Psychology.

She is currently one of the general coordinators of the 'Bible and women' project.
