José Antonio Marina

 

 

Born in Toledo, in 1939. He studied Philosophy at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, and is a professor of philosophy at the Madrid Institute of La Cabrera. Named Doctor Honoris Causa by the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, his research has focused on the study of intelligence and the mechanisms of creativity. Disciple of Husserl, is one of the greatest exponents of Spanish phenomenology. It combines teaching with research and literature. He has won numerous awards throughout his professional career, including the National Essay Prize, the Anagram Essay Prize, the Giner de los Ríos Award for Educational Innovation, the Camilo José Cela Independent Journalism Prize, the Juan Prize from Bourbon for the best book of the year, the gold medal of Castilla-La Mancha, and the gold medal of the city of Toledo. He collaborates with various media, both written and audiovisual, and is lecturers in various prestigious forums, such as the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo. (+info)
