From British parents, Derek Prince was born in India. He was educated as a Greek and Latin scholar at Eton College and the University of Cambridge in England. He also had a research grant in ancient and modern philosophy at King’s College. And he studied several modern languages, including Hebrew and Aramaic, at the University of Cambridge and Hebrew at the University of Jerusalem. Bible scholar, He stated that the Bible is a true, relevant and current book.

Derek Prince authored more than 80 books, 600 audio teachings and 110 teaching videos, many of which have been translated and published in more than 100 languages. He also preached at several world conferences.
